How does the handicap races work on Rouvy - can I join the event at 6pm and stay on the start line warming up until my start time at 1816. If I remember right that's how Bkool worked, but with Rouvy Im not sure if as soon as I start pedalling I'll be off chasing down Randy.

Or do I have to wait until 1816 before I enter the event, and if so will the event still be available to join.

No you can't, but you can warm-up before the 6pm. After that you need to stop pedaling so you don't start moving too soon. You have to wait your starting time watching a running time.

Yes you can! Join the race just before 6 PM, and disconnect your trainer in the settings. Then you can keep pedalling until say 30 seconds before your time. Stop pedaling and reconnect the trainer. Then start pedaling when your time has come and you will take off. :okay:

Aaah, I didn't figured out that you can do warm up that way as well, but yeah of course.

Or get off the bike and jog in place.Ir jump rope if you prefer. Or just watch me fly off into the distance with blazing speed.

I always play around with seat fore and aft and height but never find the sweet spot where kneecap doesn’t seem to get irritated
'Knees out' helped me - it was a revelation as I thought it bad form not to have the legs almost brushing the crossbar. At the slightest twinge I angle the knees a bit further out and that gives instant relief. It's supposed to improve the angle of the very vulnerable knee joint. I don't have trouble with knees currently, and part of that is being slightly 'knees out' on the bike.
