I run out of gears going downhill. Do any of you guys adjust the in game settings to counteract that?

You can adjust the gearing on the neo bike in the garmin app

Yeah.. tell me about it :banghead:

Randy, would it be possible to enter my prevoius time from this route to the scoreboard? Not really a great race time bit I'd really like to keep in GC 😁

Yes. You can make as many attempts as you want before the end of the month.
Years ago Adski and Tommy kept beating each other on the same ride over and over. It was insane.,

Old Skool here. My turbo bike has 52x11 for downhills with the big ring a Biopace. As my setup has a mean looking short cage 7 speed rear derailleur (105), the price I pay is that I am limited to 38x28 for climbing. But this is also the gearing of my Rossin road bike. Always 100% reality (up to 20% slopes on my Tacx Neo) as I like to think I'm training for riding outdoors and it's pretty hilly round here. Otherwise my take is that I might as well be on a spin bike. I've been debating with myself if I could eventually wangle it up that climb in Slovenia, I think yes, but there would be pain, lots of it, and it wouldn't be pretty or fast.

I have the neo bike which has a ‘virtual cassette’. I set it to the maximum which is 53 - 10, and I find myself spinning like mad on the downhills. I think maybe I have to get used to it. I am on 100% realism too. On zwift reducing the realism basically just makes it easier to spin going up hill. But maybe it’s different on Rouvy because it seems to be banned from some races?

Kudos if you manage that climb with a 38x28 :notworthy:

I didn't like all those pot holes on the road in yesterday's race, they were hard to swerve on a turbo trainer and that red truck was to far over it took me out when overtaking it. Those warm up exercises at the start line are a pain, I was fed up of getting on and off the bike trying to follow what was on the screen 😄🤣

It sound's like Garmin Varia devices might be needed indoors as well

I could almost smell the first truck as it was making so much smoke uphill
