done stage 3 as well Randy - pot holes very similar to the roads around here ! , recognised bored man and another bloke who rode in quite of the league rides last year but can honestly say I have never came across one rider who's name was smelly norman - sure I would have remembered him !

Still the ridiculous pre race stretching, pot holes, pissed up truck drivers in vehicles coughing out exhaust fumes, sheep with a death wish are all a distraction from any pain of racing but maybe not! We had thunderstorms last week, maybe if all conditions were perfect we would have no excuses for why we performed badly.

There’s always an excuse ! But points are lost if it’s not original - and most of us own bobs big bumper book of excuses volumes 1-3 , as @bobinski is getting older there are rumours of at least 1 more volume coming out solely for the upper age bracket !
