4 Quartets... hated it, possibly because we had to 'do' Hughes poetry for O-level. Teenagers reading poetry out loud in a classroom doesn't engender loving memories of the subject.

And yet the war poems of Wilfred Owen [and Siegried Sassoon to a lesser extent] were fantastic and well received by us all.

"Four Quartets" is by T.S.Eliot, so I can tell that you did not really get into it.
"Crow" (Ted Hughes) is the only poetry book I have ever bought. Brilliant stuff.

Ah, yes!!! It's TS Elliot I can't stand- thanks Nantmor: off to read 'Crow' now... back in a few minutes.
