Ha - a timely thread resurrection...
The power went off in Hebden Bridge about 30 minutes ago and I have just spent that time reading this month's Cycling Plus by head torch!
I almost fell down my stairs in a power cut a year ago so ever since then I've kept the head torch handy just-in-case. It's amazing how black it is on a murky night when the entire town is cut off and you are surrounded by big hills.
