I just checked on how to survive snow, I have one problem though.

Some tips on surviving a snowstorm
  • Make sure you have at least three gallons (13.5 litres) of drinking water per person, per day
  • Tape the windows with bubble wrap to keep the heat in
[*]Use your dog to measure the snowfall
Throw it in it?

Makes me bloody laugh, America and Canada get literally buried in snow, and they cope perfectly well.

Here, a light dusting and the bloody world ends, schools and shops close, cars start crashing into each other, the supermarkets get cleaned out..................grrrrr FFS. It is embarrassing to be British at times...............

  • Use your dog to measure the snowfall
I only have an imperial tape but my dog only knows metric, any advice?

If I read the synoptic charts right we get it Tuesday night through Wednesday and it will just be wet and windy, mainly in the North. Nothing new there then.

Copied from elsewhere,

The deadly 'snowmageddon' causing chaos in the United States is on its way to Britain.

Storm Jonas, which has buried the eastern seaboard with more than 2ft of snow, is expected to hit the UK next week.

Luckily the devastating weather system will have lost much of its fury by the time it reaches our shores.

But it will still bring the risk of flooding and the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of Wales, North West England and Scotland.

The US National Weather Service said the winter storm could rank near the top 10 to hit the region.

So looks like we just going to get "normal" weather, rain and even more rain.
