Inertia
I feel like I could... TAKE ON THE WORLD!!
What I still haven't figured out is how I keep sending myself spam emails from my own email address; even the blocker on Hotmail says I can't block my own email address.
Anybody care to explain? I'm pretty sure I haven't been hacked.
Its actually pretty easy to change the from address using a mail client for example. Another method would be to hack your account and use your account to send mails but I dont think thats the case or you would see them in your sent folder too.
To see where the mail really came from you can look at the source of the mail, in gmail you can do it using the menu in the top right of the mail, show original
Check the Received: from line, if you had sent it, you would expect to see your email providers name here, for example if you used google you would expect something like this
Received: from mail-io0-x22a.google.com (mail-io0-x22a.google.com.)
Edit, that wouldnt be proof in itself that you had sent it, the hacker could be using googlemail themselves but it might be enough to decide its a good idea to change the password
