Managed to get my video uploaded, regarding the incident I had yesterday on way to work.

Video of the incident itself and also the discussion I had with the driver, after I managed to catch him up, when he got stuck in traffic. Yes he did drive off after he hit me......

definitely contact the polis. Careless driving at least. His passenger saw that he hit you (or at least scared the absolute crap out of you), and he didn't stop, so leaving the scene, too.

The one success I had with the local police three tears ago was with a similar incident where the driver received a caution for driving without due care and attention.

Are you injured, even slightly - even if it was just slight bruise type pain for a few minutes, or simply reddening to the skin?

If you were he's committed the offence of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, if you aren't injured or the bike damaged, he hasn't (regardless of the moral/common sense fact that he couldn't have known this without stopping).

There is an obvious offence of careless driving, but CPS are nlikely to run this without injury/damage.

So I ask again - were you injured in any of the ways above, even slightly?

Contour roam, really good but the battery only lasts about 2 hours.

What a nightmare, glad you are ok. With red clothes and flashing lights wtf else do cyclists need to do to make these idiots pay more attention? Airzound perhaps, start tooting at junctions like the motorcyclists do? I'd be tempted to report, but plod will probably do nothing. Roadsafe it?

You must of had at least a red mark where you were hit. It will be very important to tell the police officer who you report this to about your red mark.

Depends totally on the area. I've had two case which have gone to court and the driver has been found guilty of careless driving when there was zero contact with the cyclist.
