Getting old but not past it

went for a 30 miles ride this morning and was beginning to feel it for the last 3 miles when this chap passed me. I jumped onto his back wheel and followed him right up to the turn up for my house. Just before I turned into my road, I pulled alongside him and thanked him for the tow. 5 minutes later; the heavens opened so I guess I was also lucky to avoid the rain.
