Looking on the bright side, if the saddle is comfortable, it will be 90% more useful than every other bike indicator project.

I'm currently working on a prototype for bicycle reverse lights. However, I'll only release the concept after Brexit because according to EU law I have to connect the reverse lever to an irritating beeep beeep system.

Bicycle indicators in a saddle; really. Have actual cyclists backed this, surely only people who don't cycle could even vaguely think this is a good idea. There is no way I'm going to spend 165 Euros, which will probably be 300 English pounds by the time this thing emerges on a fekkin saddle I may not get on with.

Yeah but it's got light and things. Well hopefully the brake light function will work when it hits the nearest loch, which is where it needs flinging.

Good! You'll be able to see it blinking when you ride past with a proper saddle on.

There's so much wrong with this idea:

1. Any cyclist who can't ride and indicate turns using their arms just needs to practise it more.
2. Many motorists can't see cyclists even when the latter are dressed up like Santa Claus riding a lit Christmas tree, so indicators on the saddle will make stuff-all difference.
3. Lights embedded into any part of a bicycle's frame (e.g. the rear light in the Van Moof's top tube) are a bad idea, because it makes repairs less convenient when the lights fail.
4. Given that bicycle saddles are quite narrow compared to a car's width, the indicators will be too close together, so any motorist observant enough to know which indicator is flashing probably doesn't need the indicators to know what the cyclist is about to do.

I've seen enough rear lights obscured by coat tails when mounted lower down on seat posts to know that this is a really farking stupid idea which shouldn't be allowed to see the light of day. So to speak.
