If you don't want to go with a helmet mount then they will both have to be frame mounted.
To get a clear image you will want to use aftermarket mounts, my suggestion is a RAM system.
...
If you need more information about which mounts to buy and were from, let me know and I can provide product codes. Note you also need to think about memory cars, 16gb on amazon for less than a tenner x 2.

This has helped a lot. I'm ordering the part numbers as in description...

Thanks, it's at least one pound cheaper with shipping and getting it from one supplier is better I think. I presume I don't really need the Vholdr mount as I'm using a standard Roam with the screw mount built in. Should I get it to protect the mount on the camera anyway?
You can do. the 1/4 screw holder (what would you call it? :S) is better quality on the specific mount. On the ROAM it's made like cheese, it's ok as long as you don't over tighten it, as you will easily strip the threads.

How exactly? Quite easy for the driver to turn around and say it was a mate of a mate who he was giving a lift, or a hitchhiker etc.

I'm not expecting a prosecution!

I'd like to think the police would question the driver and/or make them aware of their responsibilities. This will of course get back to the passenger, even if it's not the police that make contact.

Whether directly or indirectly, I'd like to think that passenger would then realise that perhaps their behaviour was ill-advised... most people doing that sort of thing are probably not ogres - just youngsters showing off or thinking they're tough behind the comfort of a wheel.

Perhaps I'm being naive, but there is a chance of course that the unsociable behaviour would not happen if one was wearing a camera. On the other hand if it did happen you have the benefit of putting the vid on the tube and showing the prat up, you never know, he might even see it.

Yeah I know I'm being naive.

I use one of these, I put the sticky one in the car on the dash  A lot more secure to be honest. I wouldn't trust the adhesive and the camera is a solid lump - not nice to have coming through your windscreen if it falls off.

Not a problem - any help needed, just ask.
dont forget pc's are complex... it can be one of many things. It can be your GPU. It can also be your CPU.. meaning your processor cant process what you want it to do quick enough. It could also be your hardrive... its possible that its a slow feeding hardrive. in meaning its like international bank transfers... it can take a while to get what you want out the hardrive.

For the best quality for money then the Contour ROAM is a great buy. coming in at the moment at £139 on amazon (these were as low as £120 last week). Full HD, waterproof, and comes with a 1/4inch camera mount (the threads aren't great, so don't over tighten!)

So just over 300 for a good setup. If you need more information about which mounts to buy and were from, let me know and I can provide product codes. Note you also need to think about memory cars, 16gb on amazon for less than a tenner x 2.

The ROAM 2 is out now. If you're with British Cycling the list price is <£150 (Anywhere else it's around the £170 mark). Supposedly it's much better in low-light than it's predecessor, and does wide-angle 1080p. I'll update when I get hold of one

This vid is very good at showing the light comparisons:

You can see a considerable difference when the car gets into the parking lot.
