He did however prescribe omexel and another blood test.
Omexel (tamsulosin) is interesting. The doc said give it 2 to 3 weeks, and I'm a week in. It's definitely doing
something but I'm yet to be convinced that it's beneficial. That is to say more side effects than intended outcomes at the moment.
And the blood test? Somehow the lab didn't do the PSA, everything else* but not PSA. The nurse, when taking the blood, said she couldn't read the doctor's handwriting (and I thought that was a cliché) so just took enough blood and let the lab decipher the prescription. So I best go back to the doc to get that one done, just to be sure.
*total cholesterol was so slightly up but ratio remains OK.
