He did however prescribe omexel and another blood test.

Omexel (tamsulosin) is interesting. The doc said give it 2 to 3 weeks, and I'm a week in. It's definitely doing something but I'm yet to be convinced that it's beneficial. That is to say more side effects than intended outcomes at the moment.

And the blood test? Somehow the lab didn't do the PSA, everything else* but not PSA. The nurse, when taking the blood, said she couldn't read the doctor's handwriting (and I thought that was a cliché) so just took enough blood and let the lab decipher the prescription. So I best go back to the doc to get that one done, just to be sure.

*total cholesterol was so slightly up but ratio remains OK.

Bit late reporting but kids away for the night, house full of paint fumes, woke between 3 and 4, too warm, too smelly (paint), up, get dressed, throw open windows, took dog for half hour walk and picked 2 carrier bags of litter off the.local streets. Back to a cooler, less smelly house.
This morning, house smells considerable less of paint, huzzah
Local CCTV operators must wonder what the heck someone's doing at that time of the morning, shoving rubbish out of a carrier bag and into local litter bins

I used to be a regular early hours walker. Got used to being stopped, and explaining I was just out for a walk.
In time the police got used to seeing me wandering the streets around 2-3 am.

And binned. I didn't like feeling drugged primarily. I now take pygeum africanum, a natural product made from the bark of an African cherry tree (iirc) Excellent stuff and prescribed in Germany (and Austria?) in preference to tamsulosin. I sleep through most nights now, no longer waking in the small hours needing a wee.

I’m a little early; but I saw the door was ajar - and wondered if I can come in and wait ?

**I”ve got a cr4p sleep pattern at the best of times. But was sleeping ok tonight: until the dog decided to wake me - being ick on the duvet 🤦‍♂️

Oh bugger...
I knew at midnight I was going to struggle.
Feel a bit of anxiety, mind racing a bit..and here we are !!
I have Amytripelene but only take one when I've slept poorly the night before so looks like tonight's the night then. Up at 8 so off to try again.
