Good job it was Kms otherwise I'd be calling you out for not rounded it up to 62.14 miles or 100km 👍

That's me done for February and I'll also claim it as my age 1km per year with just short of 68km ahead of my 61st birthday this weekend (I've given up on the 1 mile per year)

I decided to believe the weather forecast and went out later than I usually do to claim a point and was rewarded with the promised sun. I'm glad I did - the rest of the week is not looking particularly bright.

Hoping ? Wanting ? Aiming ?……to do a February qualifying ride before work on Friday. That would mean a super early (4.30am ?) out the door; just to get the job done - as there’s no sign of dry day on the Horizon. And i really need to get a banker ride in “just incase”.
I’m mudguarded up, I’ve good lights, my earphones are waterproof and I’ve enough Winter clothing to find something suitable. It’s just the rain and wearing glasses that really don’t mix……..😕
*Just fitted new disc brake pads incase by any chance I do build up enough speed to warrant needing to slow down again 😂

Firstly: I had Strava issues today. So have no record other than my pictures. But basically it’s the same 31mile / 50km route out to Caister and back via the Coastal route I sometimes do. Only this time I carried on 4-5 miles further each way to California Cliffs. And then halfway back came back a little bit inland which is a slightly longer route. Google says straight from mine to California Cliffs (My furthest point in a straight line via the A47 and back is 33 miles ! And I suspect I’m well over 40 miles / 65km for the ride. I have claimed it accordingly - but if anyone has an issue - now’s your chance to say !

Not many punters on the Golden Mile at Gt Yarmouth sea-front 😳
Right through Yarmouth onto Caister:
And out through Ormesby and out to California sands….
Where I timed my final destination to perfection - arriving at daybreak:
Culminating in a fab shot of a lovely sunrise - on what was a really fabulous stretch of Coastline…….😍
40 odd (Cold toward the end) miles I really enjoyed. Despite the very strong headwind all the way out. Which died down and didn’t help coming home 😂🤦♂️

We woke up to snow covering that was iced solid so no wheels turning up here☹️
I am probs done for outside for February as on holiday from Friday until March....that should guarantee that Saturday onwards is warm and dry at home 😂😂😂

It was super cold here. We had ice warnings too. I saw it would be tail-wind back: if I headed out up the Coast. But it literally died, and at times even switched about the turn 🤷♂️ It wasn’t too bad coming back - I can’t over exaggerate. But out was ‘brutal’. Feeling like -4c the tiny segment my Strava worked on: said. With 20- mph bitterly cold winds.
Another who with the myriad of cold, dank days, a dose of the flu etc is most happy to see Feb done in terms of this Challenge……

Another cold, wet and windy ride but I was conscious of only one more Sunday in Feb so went out for a 50 km. Kit in washer and bike awaiting cleaning. iHopefully I’ll be able to add a 50 miler next week. Definitely one of those rides I’d not have done without the motivation of the challenge!

And...according to the forecast today it's going to be mid teens from Saturday....DOH!!!. Watch out for more snow when we are due back😂

Haven't been out for a ride apart from a couple of wet commutes this month.
I think it's fair to say I'm utterly fed up with winter now! I went out to clean the commuter drivetrain yesterday and nearly sacked that off as it's just too damn cold and wet to even fettle stuff. A choice of fingers being blue, or in thick gloves so no feel or dexterity. Either way it makes me just want to launch the bike into the canal and go inside. Luckily the nearest canal is over 3 miles away!
I've got a few days off work because the kids are on half term. So of course we had ice yesterday and the last 2 days had sleet and snow forecast. "At least" it's only been stupidly cold and wet now, so there's that.
Right sod it, it looks mild but damp with even some sunny intervals Sunday so I'm planning to get out then.
