Thanks on the photos. Lowestoft is a classified deprived area (Town centre and a few select spots). I think not too far out is lovely. I’m in no rush to swap and get out….

I've just got back from a boating holiday round your way, on the Waveney and Yare. (We considered getting the train into Lowestoft from Oulton, but didn't get round to it in the end). Can confirm, beautiful part of the world -- and surprisingly lumpy in places! Saw plenty of touring cyclists in the towns -- definitely on my list for the future.

It has been an awful August on many fronts, but now done.

Finally, 4 weeks since my last ride, Icelandic Eclipse cruise, grandchildren and weather got in the way. 52 Kms 360 metres of upness.
Slight niggle in right knee.
Not the best preparation for the York to Hull ride this coming Friday.

My sub-challenge of completing my ride on the first of the month was ruined when I forgot about it when booking in a gas engineer for yesterday.
Done today, with the ride mainly accompanied by spits and spots of rain - actually lovely riding.
