I remember Matt when he caught David disposing of that dead badger he'd just shot and shopped him to the police. Ironic in view of the way things have turned out subsequently for (a) Matt (b) David and (c) badgers.

Indeed!
Matt and Lilian ended up in Costa Rica for a short spell with some gin-soaked ex-pats while he was on the run from the cops and prior to his imprisonment for fraud.

My replies are becoming a bit repetitive, but what can I say...

There's also that horrible Matt Crawford who's trying to get the nice, ex con, Darrell who's living with Elona an east European care worker, to wreck a perfectly good property so that the lovely old couple move out. He's getting him to take up the floor boards and leave them with big holes in the floor over the weekend and to flood them out by causing leaks in the pipes.
Then there's that mad Brummie, Vicky Tucker (40 something) having a baby by hubby Mike (63) that turns out is going to be downs but she still wants it because "They can be so loving yow know". He thinks he might be to old. What, at 63, to old to bring up a child?

Is anyone going to be brave enough to admit to listening to Ambridge Extra?

Sounds just as plausible as the real thing

I've been listening to TA since mid 70's when I was a student. Got hooked and now GF is also hooked. She listens to it more often than I do now a days. I often have her to explain what I've missed, especially on the TAX. The South Africa and New Zealand stories recently gave employment to many other nationals (or just good accent actors). Or did they actually go abroad to record the stories . That would give the recordings authentic atmosphere and sound effects.

I only listen vicariously when Mrs rich p has it on - that's my story anyway.

Come come rich.

Only a second ago you were filling me in on an obscure plot twist involving gin drinking in Costa Rica.

Hardly the everyday story of countryfolk I occasionally come across.

Swansonj, your synopses are spot on!

I hear on the news just now, that Clarrie is retiring. I wonder how they'll do away with her. Falling into a vat of organic yoghurt at the dairy? Contracting E coli (again) from a Christmas turkey? Entombed in one of Eddie's cast garden ornaments?
