The average value of your bikes

Based on replacement values, new for old, mine came out £300 more than I've ever paid for a bike. The two priciest were good deals second hand.

Flippin 'ek, I really had no idea people spent so much.

My "family ride" bike is crap and but that is good as it slows me down to the wife and kids speed a bit (along with carrying all their kit and the food). It is a crap Raleigh but it is alloy.
My folder is good in that it folds up. Job done really. Only use it when I work in Reading and park out of town.
My road bike is a Felt F85 that was about £800 new but I got it for £130 a few years ago. I have squeezed commuter tyres on it to stop punctures and a rack on the back so it is now a bit of a tourer. It got me to Paris as the only bike that did not have any problems in our group.
Until today I was thinking three bikes that cost the best part of £300 in total was a bit indulgent.

some people seem to have more money than... sen...I do and then someone HAD to go and post a link to the surly site, so NOW I KNOW they have the LHT in Black..... THANKS, I've been trying to avoid it, so now have a feeling my average price will go up a tad!

I have 6 very nice bikes that I have collected over the years. Two of them I bought new, the rest are second hand. At their replacement value, not what I paid for them, the average is £2250. At what I paid for them it's £1000

£ 600 for the pub bike ? Al, isn't that missing the point of what a pub bike is about ?

My pub bike is a free mtb that I was given and so far I have spent £ 2.47 on it

Isn't the defenition of a pub bike one that if it gets robbed the only worry is that you have to walk home and spend the next week or two hunting skips for your next ride?

Think my average is £1000 including a £20 pub bike!
