I was at an Easter cookery workshop last week. The dough had been prepared for us but we added the fruit and spices and twisted them into shape.

It's no good making them today! To get a year of good luck, or something, they've got to be made on Good Friday.

Some seasonal hot cross buns. I messaged my neighbour to let me know when they had finished their dinner and I’d pop round with some as they were still cooling anyway, and sent him this photo.

The doorbell rang thirty seconds later 😅

I’ve been busy this weekend. 4 sourdough loaves and a Spanish sweet potato cake. Started feeding the starter on Friday fed it 3 times then started the bread a 10am this morning, out of the oven around 5pm. Quick for sourdough.

what is your scone recipe? do you have one that uses wholemeal flour at all?
i tried some with wholemeal and plain flour but they were pretty dense. i find my dough going very sticky too, is that normal?
just trying to be healthy with the wholemeal
