It's up for sale, but there's been no takers, so the whole thing is being wound down, as per John Hornby Skewes request after his passing away

Chappers has done a video on it, so JHS Pedals, Danlectro & Vintage Guitars are soon to be no more, a most peculiar request after death to ensure your staff become unemployed

Hope there is staff buyout of the individual brands - I like my Greenie knock off (but is is not made in China!)

This has just arrived - also not Chinese!
I assume it's NOS

I can't post a link, but I have just bought my son an electric guitar from Thomman (it's their own Harley Benton brand). It's absolutely gorgeous. I tested it to see if it was working, and it actually plays far better than my Ibanez Gio which I paid more than double the price for

Looks like some kind of Jaco JB clone.

Lemmy once said Jaco wasn't a bassist, but rather a dilettente. Id be inclined to agree.

Tis the Vintage icon JP clone
Some of Jaco's stuff is sublime - especially when he is in a groove rather than being Freddy Furious. I'd love to play as well as him, especially the stuff he and the other bassists did on Heijira

Broadstairs Folk Week is now in full swing, and it means sore fingers for me!
Yesterday I played mandolin at a "session playing" workshop.
Today it's bass and guitar with my band at a pub.
Tomorrow it's ukulele at lunchtime in a jam session, and guitar in support of a singing group in the afternoon.
Tuesday and Wednesday it's electric ukulele as part of a band, playing two concerts.
Thursday it's acoustic guitar, doing a floor spot at a small venue concert.
Friday will be the last day, and I currently have nothing scheduled for it. I may take my guitar along to a "sing around" just to round off the week.....

I spent this morning removing the original tremolo bridge on my Squier Classic vibe Strat, and replacing it with the Fender 6 point tremolo that was factory fitted on the Mexican built Fender Player Strats, a much better quality, and heavier item with a full size block, the strings were jamming in the zinc alloy block, causing tuning issues, I've set it floating & fitted the springs straight, rather than in a triangular pattern, and it's nowhere near as stiff as the slammed original, and much more usable, new strings, jobs a good 'un
