Peter Green played a Fender V1 with Fleetwood Mac notable on the 'Live In Boston' version of Rattle Snake Shake where he plays with just Mick Fleetwood on stage and uses it almost as a lead guitar...................But then Peter started out as a Bass player mind he could often be found 'overdubbing' many parts on the later blues band songs from 6 &12 string acoustics to Bass and even drums on occasions.

The February 1970 recordings? Only released as a bootleg, entitled "Black Magic Woman"?

If memory serves (and it's not brilliant these days), there was some really good stuff on that.

I've just found - to my surprise - that I've got some rips of it. If I can work out how to play them, I'll give them a listen soon.

Thanks for the reminder

There is a CD set called 'The Boston Box', 3 CD's with 30 songs on them some of which are duplicate/alternative versions. My copy is Cat No SMBCD 598 released in 1999 on Snapper Music. A whole slew of 'Greeny' came out after he started playing again of which I have many including an expanded version of the 'Blues Jam at Chess Studios' and The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions with many out-takes and alternate versions.
Seen him twice with 'The Splinter Group' and spoke with him both times...................Even have a photograph of him with the band and Maz stood in between Peter and Nigel Watson who both have their arms around her.

And I've managed to learn the first few bars of The Green Manalishi With The Two Pronged Crown, got to keep chipping away at it, along with Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues, and Thin Lizzy's Whiskey in The Jar, so much to do, so little time!

Me too. I got bored and dropped into PMT and ended up with a 5 string. The next week PMT shut down.

I'm sure these things are just coincidence.

I got a barely used ex-display Vintage fretless off Reverb

Hi, after any tips for slowing onset of arthritis in fingers. Seems partly a family trait. I’m 56, and fingers are slowly starting to stiffen up after years of wear and tear. Desperately want to keep playing bass and guitar as long as possible. Any tips? Maybe monkey glands or shark’s liver?!!

I take glucosamine tablets each day, and have a fairly healthy diet and exercise.

Any advice from fellow sufferers appreciated, thanks

Im not normally a turdburst fan but thought it looked so deliciously retro.
