My Tannoy 607 mk 2 speakers, got off ebay for 75 quid.

Oh yes - my Galaxy Tab was certainly one of my better buys. I have used it for probably over 2 hours a day on average for the past two years. I have got my money's worth out of that. The 12" Dell laptop I use every day was another good buy.

Other than my new bike, the best thing I ever bought was a Gear4 portable Bluetooth speaker. I can stream music and podcasts to it from any computer, tablet and phone I own and wander about with it.

My 14" HP Chromebook and my Bluetooth headphones come a very close second.

The sound from my laptop is awful. I do have a massive surround sound system in this room, but I don't like draping a cable between it and my laptop. I was thinking of getting a Bluetooth receiver and plugging it into the ss amp. If not, I'll buy a Bluetooth speaker.

I don't like cables either so everything I bought had an iPod dock. The quality of audio over Bluetooth has improved a lot from when I first tried it. I even bought a Bluetooth adapter for my PC so I can play music directly from my iTunes library and Google Play Music account.
