Well, despite everything we snook off.
Slipped undetected through Dover and now travelling the coast of N France.

Been cycling, my aren't the roads nice and smooth.

Was supposed to be into October

But medical professionals have intervened with an appointment for The Management's overdue back surgery.
I did suggest I'd give her a lift to get the train home. I could then continue my holiday
Her reaction was, I think,quite ungrateful. Some of the things she said were true, but.

We will manage 3 weeks. Takes me back to working in Europe ....

I don’t or even want to own a campervan but for some reason I love this thread, must be the fiddling and fettling!

Before this I had a boat. Did lots of stuff. There were endless things to do and they are expensive.
Mostly because when you're at sea you need 100% confidence in every part of the work that's been done.

Camper van, you can fiddle and if things go off, you call the AA.
Also vans are considerably easier than boats.

But it is the relative freedom to do what I want to, where, when and how. Within reason.

Also I'm afraid of taking the ultimate trimmed down roaming life just on my bike
