It seems that somone locally (well, about 3/4 mile away) has bought one of these
It's huge!!, not the kind of thing you'd enjoy taking on the 'North Coast 500'

It appears to have a self-levelling system, as round pads can be seen (underneath) by the rear axles, rather like the outriggers on a HIAB equipped truck
It's one of these

No going round Pembrokshire in one of them then. A huge one came on the site last week

I looked at some big ones (paging @Fnaar !!!) from the likes of Hymer etc, about the same price as my VW T6.1. Problem is theyre great on holday, and thats it. Totally useless to nip to the shops, to take the dogs out for the day, or even to press into service in an emergency should the family car face problems. I cant morallyor financially justify something that expensive that isn't earning its keep.

It is important that if you choose to camper van tour New Zealand that you will need to store your baggage. The first time we visited in 2014 we chose wisely the six berth Maui van. The second time 2016 we toured my, UK driving licence then, only allowed me to choose the two berth lighter van. The photos show the smaller van problem with our suitcases.

Could you not empty the cars and leave with the hire company? Or was there not enough storage storage in the van for that?
