When we got home, we had a look at the website we rented from (it's on at least two!), at the cost in 'high-season'
In August, for 3 nights - same as we were there, the cost is over £1,800!!!
We paid circa £680, I think (5 of us stayed)

I dropped daughter, & friends, off in Leeds earlier
She wanted a 'door-to door' service, so I ended up behind The Corn Exchange

3rd White Cloth Hall
Crown Street

It was a big building, before being truncated/sectioned/ by the railways, with over 1,200 booths/spaces for merchants & traders!!

Long-Boat
Stanley Ferry’

A rather curious smoke-deflector(?)

When l approached it, as l rode along the tow-path from Birkwood Lock, l thought it was a bird sitting on the chimney

It would be just over the photographers right shoulder, in the shadow of the road-bridge
