St Johns Colliery Bricks
Miners Path (from NewLands Lane, to Birkwood Road)
NewLands Estate
Altofts

I'd passed the site of the brickworks en-route, & this location is less than a mile away in a straight-line
The family owning the NewLands Estate, also had part-ownership of the Colliery (in the late 1800s/early 1900s)

They're probably somewhere near the 'N' of 'Normanton', on the OS map below the photograph; https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2762301

The old brickworks chimney is still there, supporting telephone equipment; https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3675566

A new (to me at least) benchmark spotted yesterday on the east wall of Imphal Barracks in York. It’s about half way along and visible from the shared route that separates Imphal from the Army Reserve barracks. I think it must have been exposed by a recent campaign of vegetation clearance.

I might even have added it myself at some point??
I know I photographed the 'Gate Guardians' (the Abbot & the Saracen)

Sorry, just the 'Guardians'
Alvis Scorpion (I think?), not an Abbot
