En-route up to the 'van, i detoured onto a section of the old Great North Road (& also in parts, the 'old' dual-carrriageway

It's now primarily the BoroughBridge Road/A168

South of Walshford
The old north-bound lane of the 'dual' now serves as a bike-path/footpath/bridleway, albeit hidden from the main carriageway,

And, in Walshford itself
This is to the west of the roundabout with the road to Hunsingore & Cattal
This (& the 3rd image) is the pre dual-carriageway GNR

To the east of the roundabout
(the A168, has crossed over the A1, by the roundabout, & is now parallell, but on the east side)
