The subject of every other GCN video, a staple of most club runs on a Saturday morning and a cycling tradition that was probably around before cycling was invented!

This is not something that I have ever done, not even once. The closest was probably a feed station in the middle of a charity ride many moons ago.

I want to add a stop to one of my leisure rides, but which cafe to pick? What are your favourite coffee shops? Bonus points for cycling themed bean juice outlets and double points for ones in Yorkshire.

On a side note, who stops for coffee/ snacks and who doesn't? Poll added.

While I’m happy riding a bike in lycra I feel a bit exposed when I get off the bike, so no coffee stops for me.

Nope. Not since leaving my bike club.
I'm scared to death of some scumbag lifting it.
I take a flask these days....or my stove.
Of the 3 cafes i linked to, the first two have outdoor seating areas where you can sit with your bike and in the last one, you take your bike in with you and hang it on a hook!

Tea or coffee AND always cake.

Garden centres in England often have a good cafes or restaurant and a good selection of cakes.

Although it's been far too long since I cycled back home, so I just eat cake when the opportunity presents itself, to make up for it.

For a route over 50miles, I normally plan a cafe stop in. If for nothing else, it gives me focus for the ride. Less than 50 miles, I know I can get round without food.

There are so many nice cafe stops I can think of, Nice Pies, Cafe Neville, Little Jacks and Bardney (For the banter!)....oh and the one in the old stables in Fulbeck.

Pub rather than a cafe stop when I can. Half of soda water with orange cordial, no ice. Usually costs around 70p but I do pay 80p in one posh gaff. Nice thing about pubs round here is that you can sit outside and eat your own sandwiches as long as you've bought a drink. Cafes take a dim view.

I used to stop every ride. Less so now. I can ride 100km or so easily without stopping. If I’m riding 100 miles I will stop halfway for coffee and a sandwich. The guys I ride with aren’t fussed by stopping either.
I didn’t like stopping during winter as I was cold when we set off again and it takes a while to warm up.
But saying all that if I was on a ride with a stop planned I’ll happily stop, I mean who says no to cake!
