That's a Series 1, it's got flat sides

I see this almost every day on my way to/home from work
It’s a daily driver, & l often see it out & about

I almost bought one quite a few years ago
I’d had a few Landies, & wanted a Range-Rover (original shape), but wife said “No”

She was fed up of my liking for them (that’s changed since 2015)
So l considered a 5-door (3.1D), as we had a twin-axle Swift Challenger at that point

However, l ended up with that Discovery 50th Anniversary
(I never liked it that much, but would happily have had a ‘Commercial’, the 3-door ‘van’)

You dodged a bullet, the 3.1 Isuzu engines would implode, then Isuzu would refuse warranty, iirc the cheaper option was a replacement 2.8 diesel that was bomb proof

Vauxhall briefly rebadged and sold them as the Monteray.

I saw it out & about locally yesterday, but it had gone by the time I would have got chance to take a photograph

I didn't mention in the quoted posting, but it's a 5-door, or, is it really a 6-door?

RE; the present BT broadband advert, with the Wharfedale Bee Keepers Association
That's a very nice & tidy 4-door ('real') Range Rover!

EDIT; Sunday 11th @ 12:15
Research shows 3 major points;
The rear-light clusters point to pre - August 1979
Front head-restraints became optional from May 1977
It's actually a 2-door, as 4-doors were only offered from July 1981(& the original seats were still used)

Where did I find these facts?, this book;

Sadly, the mirrors can't be seen, to help give a definative age

I also do wonder if it's the (or could it be AI rendered) 2-door from the present TV advert, for the electric Range-Rover?, whilst 'K' prefixes were certainly available, as the 'series 1' (or 'Classic, as LR named it) only ceased production in early 1996
I'm not sure when the 2-door shell was deleted from the options list, the last (generally for sale) model to use it was the CSK (as wanted by @Drago & myself)

Whilst looking for something else in a cupboard under a bookcase, I found these
The SVO prices are interesting, when you could even order a 'cherry picker' directly from the factory
(a standard 110 pick-up was listed at £18,980 inc VAT)

My Discovery was a 50th Anniversary (Tdi/manual)

Or its immediate predecessor?

Dodge Ram 2500

(south of Leeds)

Due to the size, American pick-ups generally (as standard) look ridiculously under-tyred, on those 15" rims
Don't get me wrong!, I'm not suggesting stupid 20" rims & 'rubber-band' profile tyres, just something that helps to fill the wheelarches
