the local drivers are openly hostile, unlike 3 miles down the road in Sheffield which i find very bike friendly. if we could get the police to do some proactive enforcement for a couple of weeks to get the message across, that drivers must behave properly around bikes it might help.
Could start with council employees and contractors.
Like when on the approach to the traffic islands, where the herringthorpe leisure centre used to be, Broom Road, riding into Rotherham. BIG bin wagon tries to overtake on the approach (he went into the central lane as if to turn right, down middle lane)
He realised he wasn't going to make it, too late. Threw on his anchors then swung left - as I was at the side of him. Ironically he then pulled into the hospice up the road.
Polite email to RMBC, stating what happened and their potential liabilities should this driver carry on driving in a similar style. What response did I get? A standard "we have received your email, it will get passed to the relevant people" type thing.
Nowt else.
No follow up made me seriously consider becoming a helmet cammer.

With matched funding from the DfT it cost Notts £40,000, or a sum equivalent to the DfT's estimate of the average nationwide annual cost to the provider of 100 car parking spaces.

i take my baby in and keep it in my office.
And yes my office sometimes resembles a laundry
I have converted a cabinet into a wardrobe so I dont need to carry anything in!
People think I am weird, but I can live with that when I dont have to pay money for fuel and stuff

We're spoilt here too. Can't get more secure than a police station tbh. Only one shower in my station but then only two of us use it.
In April I move to our main station. Loads of secure parking. showers and drying room. Only issue is that the resident petrol heads (traffic officers) are nearly all cycling commuters.. Traffic Drones being pro bike, whats that all about?
helpful i would hope . ^_^

as we downsize on site ready for the final decant of park we are losing all the changing facilities and showers. have got used to 2 years of showers etc. hope next site is as well set up

Getting the messages
My place of work also has around 2000 employees across two adjacent sites. This time last year i did a quick bike count on my site and I counted around 60 bikes, so probably over 100 between the two sites. Not too shabby.
