It's 28 years to the day since Killie won the Scottish Cup. Watching the highlights brought back fond memories.

It was some day, getting up at 4am so we could catch the first ferry off Mull where we'd been enjoying a family holiday so we could get to Ibrox in time. My mum and siblings weren't impressed but as my dad pointed out "it's pretty unlikely Killie will have the opportunity to win anything, so we're going".

And he was sort of right, because it took until 2012 for us to win the League Cup (which we hadn't managed before).

Falkirk were mid-table in the League below but put up a helluva fight in that game. Funnily enough, we were a lower league team when we got there again in 2015 and got our hearts broken once more. We were also there in 2009 when we lost to a spawny Nacho Novo goal.

At half-time Rockdale are leading Piqué Blinders 25 - 14 (subs included). The Blinders are a man down making it an uphill battle in the second half.

Gawd bless yer, @Beebo. I’m just home from Wemberlee and it was a great occasion for a womble. Not the most exciting game for a neutral, but the solid defence means our games generally aren’t at the moment.

Forgive the contribution from pedants’ corner, but the first time AFC Wimbledon were in the league above mk dons was in 2018 when mk were relegated to league 2. You’ve rightly identified that the best thing about promotion is not having to play the fixture against them, though 😁

Livingston have gained promotion back to Scotland's top flight, coming from 2 - 0 down to win at Ross County, for whom it's third time unlucky after escaping in 2024 and 2023.

The playoffs are massively in favour of the Premiership side, in 14 of them this is only the 5th time a Championship side has won.

Robbie Muirhead's goal was the pick of the bunch, started his career at Killie and I was sad to see him go.

AFC Wimbledon are now in the league above MK Dons.
It’s taken them 21 years to overhaul them.
Still no other team has gone down the relocation route.

MK have a lovely stadium (went there for Rammstein in 2019), but they hardly ever fill it, at least for football (top attendance this past season 10k). Perhaps they should dismantle it and send it to south London.....

Only goal scored by ex Falkirk man Myles Hippolyte. I remember him twisting Sevco defenders into corkscrews.

Congrats to Rockdale Ste Jen on winning the CC league in fantasy football.By a big margin as well.:okay:

This guy is quite good, seen a few of his videos going around Scottish lower league games. The Queens Park story is an utter farce. Sold Hampden to the SFA for £5 million then spent the money on a huge squad of players, an eye-wateringly expensive pitch and a palace for the committee - chandeliers and heated seats. Meanwhile they treat fans with complete contempt. Capacity of only 950 (in the video the smug blazer talks about building new stands but that's been dropped) and the away allocation is only 250. No drums allowed, no Ultras allowed, flags confiscated etc etc

It's like the local bowling club winning the lottery and the committee getting the money to spend.

Sorry didn't watch the video which probably answers the question

So do they play on lesser Hampden now? I went to watch Queens Park years ago (At Hampden) but I recall being in their clubhouse and lesser Hampden was sitting there doing nothing.

Always go to the pub on a Tuesday night and there's always a footy game on . . . until last night. Absolutely no televised British or European football. At all. This does not happen very often. Watched Jamaica v Trinidad and Tobago. True Story
