Apparently he has been banned from having any contact with the women's and youth teams at West Ham since 2023 due to safeguarding concerns. Not looking good for the club either if that is the case.

Given he has a face like a bashed spanner and a body shaped like a potato, he must have a stunning personality to get all those women in to bed he claims to have slept with.😏

Is it true that the Keir Starmer 'song' has been adopted as the unofficial England anthem?🤔😁

Kieran McKenna has just stepped down as Ipswich manager.

There's only so much Ed Sheeran one man can take before cracking eventually...

I hope he's properly taking a break and doesn't stroll into a job in the next few weeks. Fulham is where he'll end up I reckon if he stays in England, or Celtic if he heads north, depending on what O'Neill does at the end of the season.

With all the hype of the world cup approaching, it minded me of a Giles cartoon in the 60s.
Lad comes home to see his GLW cutting the TV ariel down.
He demands to know what she's up to and she throws a newspaper down showing the title '56 hours of world cup football' saying 'That's what this is about - !'
Ahh the 'good ole days eh - ? ^_^

Really why's that then ?
Did you miss the uproar when Rovers v Ipswich at Ewood was abandoned at 79 minutes? This was caused by a torrential downpour. There were calls for Ipswich to be awarded the match, Rovers to be deducted points, etc. We were widely pilloried for this.

My remark was tongue-in-cheek but it's interesting there doesn't appear to have been any adverse press. The Orlando stadium is only nine years old and in an area where torrential rain is a common occurrence. Torrential is defined as 3" in 24 hours. One would imagine a recently built stadium would be designed to cope with this.

There is a massive difference between abandoning a match at 79 minutes, and delaying the start of a match.

Really? What? Both were caused by torrential rainfall, one in an area that presumably plans for such events as they're common place, the other in an area where it's an unusual event.

I don't truly care but do find it amusing and illuminating.

you do know the stadium in Orlando has a 37,000 gallon (US I presume) drainage tank that can cope with 5inches of rainfall per hour ? in fact so efficient is it at draining the pitch they had to use sprinklers pre match to water the grass again.

the game was actually delayed by the lightning strike protocol which forces a 30min countdown delay if/when a lightning strike is recorded within 8miles of the ground.

thats probably why no-ones talking about it, because the rain wasnt a problem. whilst of course rain is a completely unusual event in the NorthWest of England ;)

It doesn't matter very much what the cause is, though I have no idea why you think it an unusual event in either of those places.

The difference is abandoning a match that was not only already under way, but was nearly finished, as opposed to a minor delay in a match that hadn't started. Totally different situations

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVOURITE WORLD CUP GOALS ?
I have terrible memory for such things but have just been watching a Sky sports prog showing the greatest.......when i see them they bring back great memories eg
England vs Italy.......the Wonderful Gascoigne goal followed by an equally good one by Bagio.
The Michael Owen individual goal when he was just 18.....breathtaking.
