I like that. Weather and vandal proof.

I'm a little concerned at how the machinery holds on to the bike though. Wouldn't want a bent wheel.
It looks like the wheels rest on a "beam", but it does look like the clamp attaches to the wheel. I#m sure it wouldn't though because of that reason

I'm sure you're correct. The Japanese tend to get their technology right.

Ooo interesting, could be fun! Saw a weird bike the other day, more like a cross-trainer you see at the gym, looked very unstable with bits of metal flying out from it from every direction at a rhythmic state.
