Lightly dusted with snowflakes.

But won’t they melt and make the gammon a bit damp?
 
For years nobody told me that Gammon was uncooked ham. I thought it was some fancy pork cut similar to Filet mignon, porterhouse for beef. I just took it that Pork cuts had not developed as far as beef cuts. Then the association with pineapple and to me it sounded foreign. I do enjoy pork cuts, minced pork and some incredible pork sausages and bacon but not Gammon.

Mum always bought ham for sandwiches so it was lunch staple for years, until someone in the office bought in those small canned tuna meant for office spread.

The Spanish and the Portuguese seem to have done wonders with Pork.
