At one point, I claimed to have raced on most of the A1 north of Baldock (to where it has been motorway for as long as I can remember). This was a bit of an exaggeration. However:

• Courses ran end-to-end from Baldock (used by club events) to Normans Cross at Peterborough
• A student championship used a course between Blyth (which used to be the start of the first motorway north of Baldock) and Tuxford or somewhere
• Harrogate Festival of Cycling events on top and bottom Boro (Boroughbridge in Yorkshire)
• North of Newcastle, while visiting my girlfriend (she married me, so she must have forgiven my disappearing off to race during visits)

There may be the odd one more that I've forgotten. Leaves out, obviously, large sections around Grantham, Newark and Doncaster for a start.
