£500 for a German WWII naval jacket. It looks like an ordinary leather coat with some insignia stuck on it.

PS "Documentation to say it was taken from the Leipzig in 1945"
Leipzig is about as far away from the sea as it's possible to get in Germany.

Know nothing about them but after looking online if the badge and black cross medal are real might be worth it? But theres no way i would pay £500 for an old jacket?

Note - Not "taken from Leipzig", but "taken from the Leipzig".

Very different things.

And not that unreasonable a price for such WW2 memorabilia, provided it has some provenance.

When I bought my current bike, I actually inflated the cost to my wife by £300, so that I could also buy a Wahoo bike computer at the same time  The bike was actually £2100, I told her £2400.

You naughty boy.
My wife thinks I spent £650 out of the boat fund fixing a sail. I gave the guy with the big sewing machine a bottle of "hors taxe" rum that I didn't like for the 15 mins work.
The money evaporated. Assume the rum did too. Say no more.
