Good evening,

I am somewhat bemused by the Ineos sponsorship plan as over recent months I have read

• Ineos in dispute with New Zealand Rugby over shirt sponsorship
• Ineos split with Sir Ben Ainslie and the America's cup team, possibly trying to go their own way with Mclaren.
• Sir Jim; if the fans give me too much hassle I am leaving Manchester United.
• Ineos also have a small area on the Mercedes F1 car and Sir Jim was seen at the Australian GP in the company of Toto, the boss

It's almost as if there is a belief that we, Ineos, are spending some money so success is assured and you must welcome me/us as your saviours.

Despite Ineos Grenadiers having been around for a while I have never seen an article tying the team to the actual Grenadier.

I can imagine issues with the size of the vehicle but the sponser of what was the leading team, a car maker, not using their cars as team cars!

This may be the problem, Ineos have never backed up their sponsorship with their products, Sky are proud of what they do, Jumbo is a massive supermarket chain, Deceuninck/Quick Step are big brands (Windows and Floors) as are Bora/Hansgrohe (Kitchens/Bathrooms)

And then once you get into who has got the biggest bank account with Sovereign Wealth Funds, UAE and Bahrain and suddenly most rich pople are paupers.

I'm baffled as to why he'd launch a new 4x4 at this time in motoring history.
The motor versions will die out long before he's made his money back on them.
The switch to Electric is messy for all car makers so why would you start a new one now ?
And one that is not going to sell that many vehicles.
I don't think I've seen one driving around yet.
I think it's just a vanity project.
