Well, grand daughter (18) has just brought an 11 plate Citroën C1, 53k miles for £2400.
Given today's prices , probably not bad but think back pre pandemic, you'd get a
12 year old car for almost peanuts comparatively.
Really clean and nice condition.Apparently drives well, has a bit of a dodgy hazard light switch.

She just failed her first test, was doing really well then clipped a kerb right near the end, but there you go, so this has really got her excited, she is beaming with the car. And to think we took her to see a Ka, same age and it was really quite rough.
Oh to be 18 again, brought her first car, just booked a week break in Portugal with her boyfriend, life steams ahead at that age.

If the hazard light switch looks 'cracked', they all do it and it doesn't affect use. Same on the Aygo and Pug. Thats a good price TBH.

Little Aygo's front bumper has started to lose the clear coat. It's an issue on all the cars at about this age 12-14 years old. Just starts bubbling on the bumper.

Obtained two tins of colour matched paint from a paint mixers on ebay. Removed the bumper and sanded down. Decided not to remove the trims as they were too well clipped in, so masked off where possible.

It's not a perfect job, but looks a damn site better than pealed paint and a few scratches and chips which are gone. Well chuffed that the colour match is spot on, as are the metalic flakes.

Nice one, I think we may look at a Polo or Fabia for our lad, as he's only 18 - we will check out the Sanderos too - but I can see a Picanto would be difficult!

He ended up with a Sandero and absolutely loves it. Best size in the sector and fairly cheap insurance. It carries all his fishing clobber very well too.

My folks have has one a fair few years (Stepway version) and it's been trouble free.

My sister has the estate model does the job.

Fabia was a nicer drive though.

Collected this on Wednesday, I’ve now retired from my full time job, so gone from 18000 business miles a year to virtually zero, so we’ve kept my wife’s 2015 Golf GTD as our main car, sold my 2017 BMW 330d touring and replaced it with yet another Mini (our fourth)
