The little things suddenly become very difficult

Yes - laughable, I agree. Young lad of his age not having a 'shortlist' of willing people to give him a hand...poor Chuffster, no wonder he resorted to rubber pants in his dotage.

Anyway, don't disturb Luke - he's in the recovery position as we write...

should have realised where this thread would go as soon as Chuffy and Lisa21 turned up ;)

and lay off my bike! She's sobbing in the corner after I broke the news that she won't be going out to play for a few weeks

but the buzzing in your ears won't have stopped for long before we're back

That's when teeth - not teef, although I'm sure he'd oblige - come in handy.
Cans are easier than bottles.

Ooh, ouch, unlucky. Easy to do though, I remember accelerating hard into a traffic stream only to realize it had all stopped suddenly. I nearly stopped but not quite, hit the back of a metro with the wheel at a slight angle, stumbled on the toe-clip release and smeared my face against the rear window of the car. I suppose it was no surprise she didn't stop or get out. Still the three builders in the van behind enjoyed it, in fact the van didn't move at all during the next traffic light phase, enabling me to beat it rapidly.

Good job you sent me that saddle, you wouldn't be able to wrap it now

Take care with it and hopefully there'll be no setbacks to the recovery.

I got picked up by my landlord/flatmate and he took me to a&e. 3 hours later I came out with 2 fractures, one to my right elbow (caused by the fall) and 1 to the knuckle of my small finger, probably caused by the impact with the car. It probably would have been worse if i had gone straight into the back of him.

Did you wear a helmet??

Oh that's crap. Get well soon, Redjedi. Don't the Gods know that Bianchi riders are exempt from bad things happening? (If not, they jolly well should be. )

Oh no redjedi, bad luck. Get well soon and I hope that there is no lasting damage.

I've been there on more than one occasion too. I trust that you're a bloke? Having only one useful arm is a bummer when it comes to bras. I also had the unusual problem of not being able to tear toilet paper off the roll too. It just kept rollin' on to the floor... and there are many other joys of one-armed ness but you just get more inventive...*

*i realise that this may sound quite rude, but its not meant to...
