Do any of you own a military style coat! I do. I have eight, if I include my two duffel coats.🧐

It’s military coat season – here are the four best styles for men https://share.google/OuQqOfT9N6icgpm5N

My coat wardrobe consists of 3 down jackets, a Patagonia goretex jacket, a Barbour full length poachers coat, a Rohan full length hooded Mac, a Magee Donegal tweed overcoat, a Jaegar herringbone covert overcoat with velvet collar and a navy cashmere overcoat.
I might have a couple others I forgotten about🤣🤣

Would any of you buy or wear that coat? Im tempted to buy the 'Herr Flick' one, but a friend told me it's too close to a Gestapo coat and I should go for the above it on this thread tan leather one, if I really have to have one! I suppose it would look Gestspo(ish) if you go for the 51 inch length one, but if I buy one I'll buy it in a just below the knee length.😉

My grandad's old leather army coat. I always assumed he'd hung on to it after being issued with it in about 1917. Evidently not been worn much, whether in France or subsequently when he was a farmer / builder.

I've hung onto it but not found an occasion to wear it in public.

Is there a 'special' shop where Architects buy their clothes?
They always seem to wear something that is not readily available to us mere mortals, like button up blue smock jackets made from canvas etc.
Tis most strange.

Orchestra conductors these days often wear something like a Chinese waiter's tunic, even top notch chaps like Peter Philips (Tallis Scholars), or Sir Mark Elder (formerly the Halle's maestro) . What's wrong with proper get up of white tie and tails?
