we were invited on a posh jolly to armani's menswear show in milan, got back last night

really enjoyed it, it's quite exciting live, plus all the hubbub in the streets, i was togged up in a crinkly dark blue suit with very baggy trousers and a scarf, getting stopped in the street asked to pose for pics was a novelty, mrs s was enjoying the spectacle

great fun!

there were plenty of looks i'm sure accy would go for, we're sitting on the right one row back nearest the cameras

must be spend involved, but i'd guess it's the people in the store who can decide among the contenders, i'll always stop for a natter with them, i don't play snooty/snobby

but it was unexpected, didn't have to do a thing, they sent limos, flew us business, armani hotel and restaurant, really treated us so well

if you don't like the style, that's up to you, but i don't denigrate your choices, however the made in taiwan comment is just nonsense

the fast-fashion lot may try to copy, but they never come even close to the feel/quality, let alone the aftersales service, which tends to be for life

i.e. last year i had my 90s dior raincoat given a rehab, all the buttons re-sewn, fixed a couple of small tears etc., it cost no more than the dry cleaners would've charged, but they also returned it in a nice dior suit carrier, they offered to deliver it, but i said i'd collect, they gave me coffee and chocs when i turned up

I want a fine wool, cream rollneck sweater. I've been searching the internet, but so far only the below and the one below that looks ok. Some I found were very suitable, then when I looked at the sizes available they didn't have my large size. I could buy two of the below for one of the one below them, but are the top ones decent quality? Their advantage over the bottom one is that they are machine washable and seem to be long enough in the arms, which is always a problem for me. The advantage of the bottom one is er, it's made from seemingly a better quality wool, but that logo on the sleeve to me makes it a bit too casual, young for me.🤔

I'm sure that if I were to visit Cordings in Mayfair and announce who I was, they'd be very polite with me, but maybe also slightly 'he's a northerner', patronising as well. I would like to visit their store, but the getting there problem far outweighs the 'joy' thoughts I'd get from visiting the place. 😏
