Those trousers are Marks & Spencer, cotton ones, quite wide in the leg and with cuffs/rurn ups. I bought them from a charity shop about six years ago for £3 50. They are an example of why I hate to part with my clothes, as in give them to charity shops. Giving them away, then years later you just fancy wearing them, then it hits you that you binned them long ago!🙄

I wore the snake belt I bought the other week yesterday. Snake belt as in a real snake, not the elasticated ones we wore in our 1960s/70's youth. Yes I know such a belt doesn't go much with a tweed jacket, but I only wore what you see to go out to buy some odds and ends.😉

In our dress style thread, our local leading sartorial gent, Accy buys named goods from charity shops and direct from some others, someone else has bought a top quality pair of shoes for £14 from a charity shop. But just before i logged on an advert appeared as a header on a page, advertising an Italian shoe maker Santoni ,hand made prices from £600 to £1,200 a pair,i wondered if Accy had some,it's the sort of footwear he would buy.

Do Woodrups still have a shop on North lane. Do you remember Bretts fish and chip shop, they had restaurant but you had to go through the chippy to get in to it. You used see all the Yorkshire cricketers in there after a match.
My Mum and Dad used to drink with Charlie Brett in the Skyrac before I was a thing.

I remember Bryan’s up near the bus depot opposite St Chads church near the Wood Pecker ? Pub.
Woodrups had a shop on North lane when I was a kid.
I was brought up in Grandby Terrace which was behind Bennet road School.
