I bought two Rhodes Wood ties in the retro clothes shop I work in today. I don't think I'd pay £125 for one, but at £5 each for two 'finest English silk hand made' ties I thought it was a bargain! https://rhodeswood.co.uk/collections/ties

I’ve got one of their ties that I must have had for about 20 years and it’s probably my favourite. It’s navy with small pink spots in a pattern that to my eye is the perfect ‘density’. It also always makes a beautiful knot.

I'd say they are the most well made ties I've ever bought. The stitching on the back shows quality.

They are a fair weight for a tie. I'd say going on for twice the weight of your average tie. Not that it matters to most, as not that many wear ties these days.

I wonder if one of these Rhodes Wood ( cheap at the price ) silk dressing gowns will appear in the shop one day. £2,300 could see it eventually reduced to maybe £85. 🤔

Both items were ordered last night. I also got an extra 10 percent off, so the jacket and waistcoat were £425.50. The trousers were £145, so I've bought a Cordings suit for £570.50, not counting the 2 £7 deliveries. That's not bad for a suit that was £885, not including P&P. So I've saved £314.50. I was about to press confirm when I hesitated, thinking if the jacket's 40L size was big enough. I held back and looked at a jacket I bought 4 years ago, remembering I had to send the first one back because it was too tight. On looking at that jacket I saw it was a 42L. I'm glad I decided to check that jacket's size as I'd probably have had to send the 40L Cordings jacket back and order it in 42, which I eventually did.

It arrived the other day. I must say, I'm very pleased with it and I'd say it'd be worth the full price of around £900, but with it 'only' costing just over £600 what a bargain!!
