I went into a hat shop in York and noticed that the caps they had labelled as”Yorkshire Caps” were made in Lancashire, I gleefully pointed this out to an assistant, now I notice they are labelled as “Yorkshire style caps”.

They just cannot accept that Lancashire actually exists!!

I’ve had to order a new pair!
I think they got salt in them over the winter, & have degraded
I can put a finger through the sole

Still extremely comfortable though



I ordered them on Thursday afternoon, & they arrived about an hour ago
They’ve got a different sole pattern now, with a different grade of material too, might have been a bad batch, that gave same problems as mine?
(website still shows the old sole, same as my intial pair)

Foxes stole and chewed my black trainers which at the moment are the nearest thing I have to smart shoes. They still work and hold together but are a bit frayed at the edges.

I saw him at Reading Festival in the late 80's. He was awesome! Far more energy and entertainment than any other act 1/3 of his age. That goes for Lux Interior in 1990 too. He was all over the stage scaffolding.
