I'm pretty sure people should be banned from this thread for advocating cardigans....

I posted the link of those cardigans to a friend. He replied that he's been on a tour of the mill in Cromford Derbyshire, which was opened in 1784.

I've got a couple of their pullovers, they're good quality. Not cheap but you're paying to support UK manufacturing.

I think closed it after Covid. There is mens tailors called Rhodes Wood in Harrogate who’s owner has a pretty good pedigree in the clothing industry. He did a review of the clothes shops in Harrogate when Cordings was open and his review of Cordings was low to middling.
If you ever win the lottery Accy take a trip to Rhodes Wood you would think you’d gone to heaven.

I got a few things from Rhodes Wood which I realised recently were mostly bought a long (long) time ago when he'd just opened. They are, however, fabulous quality and still look great. I must go back but try to resist blowing the budget.

I didn't mind the Cording's branch in Harrogate, which was itself far better than the concession they previously had in Orvis. The ability to try things on without having to make a trip to London or playing mail order returns roulette was very useful.
