I bought it last night.

I'll wear it with my off white fine wool summer trousers or my beige linen trousers off my beige linen suit. In fact there are many items I could wear it with. Underneath it'll look nice with a not too formal shirt and tie, a shirt and cravat or even the cotton cream rollneck I bought months ago but have yet to open. Do I wear such items in such vivid colours to draw in comments, sometimes negative ones and to be noticed?! Well yes, of course I do! To blend in with the crowd is to give up on life! 🧐 😉

OK here's a conundrum. I just bought a leather jacket which turned out to be pleather. It was cheap enough off Vinted so low stakes either way, do I keep or return?

It's a poncy fashion one, not hardcore biker or anything if that makes a difference.

It depends on the sums involved obviously, but if you paid more than you might have otherwise done because the seller led you to believe that it was leather, then you might suggest they negotiate a discount or you will have to return for a full refund and will be leaving negative feedback.

Latest bargain off fleabay. Granted I have already got a lifetime's worth of nice shoes, but these were near enough brand new, and Crockett & Jones are exceptionally good quality. Need to take them to the cobblers to put blakeys on the toes else I'll ruin them in a month. Dilemma of whether to put rubber stick on soles as well, or let them wear out and have a full rubber Dainite sole done in due course. Brand new from their Jermyn St shop they'd be a good bit over six hundred notes, so £170 whilst not cheap is a genuine bargain

Pleather is ok in some circumstances. I had a black pleather jacket in the late 1970's when I was into punk rock. Mind you, it was more vinyl and meant to look like vinyl, not plastic pretending to be leather. I had a brown pleather bomber jacket about 20 years ago, bought for £35 from George at ASDA. The dye wore off the collar making it yellow, but it was warm to me in those days when I was 14 stone, not 10.5 like I am now. I stopped wearing it when out walking one evening and some chavs said words to the affect of 'That jacket is fake, not real'! To this day I still wonder how clueless about clothes chavs knew the jacket was pleather! Anyway, that was it. On getting back home I took it off and never wore it again.

Ask yourself, do you like the jacket at the price you paid? Your answer should guide your decision.

Juventus football club in Turin Italy wear pink as their away colour due to their kit man many years ago putting their then red away shirts on too hot a wash, making them fade to pink. The club couldn't afford to buy new red ones, so they kept those now pink shirts and have played in pink as their second strip ever since. As for their traditional black and white striped shirts, they played Notts County in a friendly match many years ago. Notts County lent Juventus some of their own black and white striped shirts, while County played in another colour for the game. Juventus were so impressed by this gesture that they decided to wear black and white striped shirts to honour the Notts County gesture and have played in black and white stripes ever since.

In a similar manner Middlesbrough have frequently had a blue and black striped away kit which originated in the '70's after borrowing some Inter milan shirts in some pre season friendly or other.

I had the jumper delivered to the retro clothing shop I work in, to save me from the hassle of couriers and Royal Mail deliverers playing knock, then run when having stuff delivered to my flat. I opened it in the shop today in front of admiring customers!😉

I bought these cufflinks and collar studs yesterday. They are probably from the 1920's, 1930's. They are made from mother of pearl and gold plated metal. Not bad for £10. I will gently polish the gold plate on the cufflinks with Silvo Tarnish Guard. The collar studs will stay in the box as although I have two collarless shirts that take collar studs, I don't wear them these days.

Sorry Accy I don't like the jumper. Somebody noted upthread that it looks like a pair of red knickers had run in the wash and I'm afraid it really does!
