I was looking on their website for a suit, either another tweed or maybe moleskin but might have to wait till I see one of their shops given that comment. Obviously I'm not expecting Cordings quality for half the money, but do want something decent for my four or five hundred quid

Update on House of Bruar which may be of interest to the various dandies on this thread. Just taken delivery of a new linen suit and I am very pleased with the quality for the money. Not sure my old Harvie and Hudson suit it is replacing was really much better and this Bruar one was £360 including a waistcoat and a second pair of trousers. I shall likely be buying more from this company as the quality is pretty decent, and offers rather good value.

I was lucky with the old H&H suit as the jacket was end-of-season sale for £125 (which is genuinely cheap for the quality), but it was a couple of years before I was willing to pay for the trousers which even on sale were reduced to £125. The Bruar trousers were only £65 which is very reasonable indeed. The cloth is pretty much the same, same quality at any rate, for both brands

I must admit I never looked at their Linen stuff when I was in the shop. It was more the tweed stuff I looked at. One of things that put me of their stuff in the past, is that in my size 40 chest they didn’t alway have a short. Just regular and long in quite a lot of their stuff.
I might go for another look later this month when I’m up at visiting my daughter.

I shall likely order a tweed or moleskin suit from them shortly and maybe also a double breasted linen jacket in the same colour as an alternative to the one I've just got. Admittedly the tweed and moleskin are normal sort of prices rather than the bargain price of the linen

a productive morning stroll to mr harrod's emporium, had a bubbly and snack to fortify myself, then down a floor to giorgio's place where i acquired a couple of silky shirts, summery shoes, and some rather splendid silky jacquard trousers, there's also a scrunchy silk scarf for the winter but couldn't find a pic as it's only in-person sale

Your 'Jim Jams seem to have faded a bit, did they need a 'boilwash' or summat

I’m interested to see those shoes with an outfit.
