Some Tricker's suede loafers here, down from £515 to £325. If they had them in navy suede or burgundy suede I'd have some ordered by now, but dark brown, mmm I already have two pairs of suede shoes in the same colour.🤔 Having said that, they are quite different to those two pairs I have, with one being derby brogues and one being double monk straps and both with Dainite rubber soles, unlike the Tricker's leather ones. Plus they are tassel loafers, not the penny variety, which to me can look a bit bland at times. Tassle loafers and horsebit loafers have a better eye catching ability....in my opinion.🧐

By coincidence, the other day when a woman saw those magenta loafers I recently bought, she asked how much they cost. On telling her they were £145 she went 'how much'?!!😮 This coming from a woman who's partner bought a Porsche 4x4 two years ago, costing £60,000! 😏 To me, £145 for a pair of shoes isn't much and £325, down from £515 for those Tricker's loafers is quite a bargain. Yet no way would I fork out £60,000 for a Porsche 4x4, even if I could afford it!

Yet no way would I fork out £60,000 for a Porsche 4x4, even if I could afford it!

Appalling taste aside, £145 is entirely reasonable for a well made pair of shoes. There are diminishing returns on quality alone as the price goes higher. You generally start paying for the label.

If an item says it's "down from" some certain amount, it's only a bargain if you think the original price was acceptable. As an example, if a Mars Bar was advertised for £2.00 down from £20.00, we would struggle to find people to find that was a bargain. It's only the price that you buy for that counts.

As for the Porsche Cayenne, I would not go to my grave with regret if I never saw one again.

I do think the original price of those Tricker's loafers is reasonable! I'm still undecided though as like I said, I have two pairs of suede shoes in the same shade of brown, so do I want them because they are obviously very well made, and by a respected English shoe maker, or do I want them because I like the look of them? Mmmm.🤔

Jesus. A Cayenne is bad enough, but in beige? I don't think Porsche even do a beige, so they might have even paid extra to have it wrapped/custom painted.

If it's not a black 911 turbo with a whale tail, what's the point in a Porsche, really?

To my eyes the style/design makes them look like ladies shoes. Save your money for now because something much nicer will come along to tempt you.

My lass had a Cayenne way back. You'd only get the spare wheel for a mere 60 large. She didn't like it much, it was replaced with an X5M that she much preferred even if the badge doesnt carry as much kudos in some quarters.

At least they didn't get it in primer grey, which seems to be the popular colour these days.

I always think they looks like a Monday morning car, where someone came to work with a hangover and forgot to paint it.

Yes, primer grey and battleship grey are hideous! Graphite is classy, and some silver finishes are acceptable, but primer and battleship grey, yuk!!🧐👎

Yes, they are a bit female shoe looking and also have a look of Louis the 13th, poncy French dandy(ish) in style, if not material and colour of material. Maybe I just fancy them as they are made by Trickers and with a fair reduction, rather than just fancying them full stop. Like I said earlier, if they were in navy or even burgundy I probably would have ordered them. I wore those turquoise loafers I bought last week today. I must've received 10 compliments from both men and woman, with most asking where I got them from. I doubt those Tricker's loafers would attract so many compliments and questions of where I bought them from.
