Now those are proper Trickers not those lightweight poncy things you posted earlier.
Trickers are battleships, bruisers of shoes. They are not dancing shoes, they are shoes designed for invading Europe.

The Bourton shoe gets very good reviews! Some saying it's the best shoe they've ever owned or worn. They first came out in 1937 it says on their write up, so they've been around now for 89 years. The Bourton country shoe is available in quite a few colours, as well as available in suede leather. I'd say those navy blue ones are my favourite ones. The write up recommends that you go down a half size when buying them, so with my size 10 now sold out I can buy the 9.5 size still available. Have you ever owned a pair @Webbo2: ?

No. Although I do have 2 pairs of Trickers both size 8, however one a pair of loafers I reckon I could have come down half a size.

How about one of these for peak eccentricity, and dare I say style!🤔 The gold tassle is detachable, should you feel like backing down slightly in your eccentric appearance.🧐

I like the idea but don't quite have the nerve. I doubt Mrs PP would approve either

Who would see it as it’s supposed to worn post your evening meal when the gentleman retire to drink Port and smoke cigars. You don’t wear it outside.

True about only wearing inside, but I doubt many, if any would know the smoking hat etiquette rules.🧐 I suppose it could be worn outside, but only on dry days as rain would affect the hat's shape and affect the hat's texture.🤔🧐

But could you live with shame if you met a gentlemans gentleman who knew the etiquette and they gave you a look.
Think what would Jeeves say.🤣🤣

As you've probably guessed, I'm after something eye catching and eccentric looking, but that smoking hat is quite expensive, though Peter Christian sells them for £40, though without embroidery, which to me takes a lot away from the hat's/cap's appearance. Now this French pith is quite eccentric, but much less in price than the smoking hat/cap.🤔

Blimey, you'd look like you'd gone AWOL from the North Vietnamese Army, circa 1968
