Seeing as it's about 5 Celsius out there :cold: I've been thinking. To go with the 'Soviet' style coat I got from the retro clothing shop I work in the other week I think a 'Soviet' style fur hat would go very well with it!🤔🧐

To add to the outfit, how about some Soviet style food queue boots! Once my outfit has been assembled I can then find a food store and queue up outside it for three hours to buy some rye bread, beetroots and a cabbage!! Maybe even some 'wodka' if I'm lucky!🧐

They look perfect for annexing the Sudetenland !

I bought some German ex-police motorcycle boots about 40 years ago and my pal used that very line to tease me. Still have the boots and they are great

On the subject of military style outfits, we were only on about him in the laundry this evening.
A few years ago a bloke we knew went a bit full on eccentric and started dressing like Ho Chi Minh! He was always seen in North Vietnamese military tunic and pants, complete with a red beret with a Communist five points star badge!🧐 I don't think he wore flip flops though. I think he chose military style boots instead.🤔

None of the items you have posted will keep you warm. How many soviet soldiers froze to death in the Second World War which is the vintage of your coat. Mind you are in Lancashire not Siberia.

Er, it was about minus 70 Fahrenheit on the eastern front! :cold: 🥶 We only get down to minus1 or 2 Fahrenheit here on the eastern Lancashire front! Besides, that coat is super heavy! I wore it inside last night for an hour or so. It starts to warm you up as soon as you put it on. It has a detachable thick lining, but that won't be getting detached this winter! :cold:
