The most dangerous spot for road injuries in London

The worst accident I ever had there was around one oclock in the morning in 1986. I was so drunk I fell over and bent the rear triangle of my curly Hetchins. Well, it was already bent but you know.

How much of a cyclist is Boris anyway? Does he actually ride that much?

Why does he keep scuppering emminently sensible cycling provisions that have no disadvantage other than maybe slowing traffic a tiny bit for a tiny distance.

he does cycle, but in a kind of grey flannel shorts schoolboy way that inspires pity and an urge to offer some good advice. His feet are far too forward on the pedals, his shoulders hunched over the bars, his toes point out at thirty degrees and his saddle is a good three inches too low. Going up hill he's using twice the effort he needs to, and going down Amwell Street he's like a runaway piano.

He does take taxis - four times as many as Ken...........

What a strange list. No context whatever, and includes everything from 5 miles of the A40 (Holborn and Oxford Street) to 50-odd miles of the A404 (including 20-odd miles of semi-rural single carriageway and 15-odd miles of near motorway dual carriageway).
as a man who collects and uses data, how would you assess the merit or relevance of this data? On a scale of 1 to 10

It's a bit more complicated than that...

As it stands, it's a one out of ten. Completely and utterly useless. There may be some substance behind it that whoever was responsible for the press release has removed (that's not unusual, as fans of Bad Science will know).

I've done some trawling around the net and TFL's publications and can't find anything even remotely related to this stuff that might give me some context.

I use the E&C roundabout every day - I find it absolutely fine - i get into a good position, maintain it, signal clearly, and bobs your uncle. I also use the A23 Streatham to Kennington every day - have seen loads of accidents (cyclists, motorbikes) here. Mostly collisions with vehicles pulling out from side streets. Maybe because it is a nice flat stretch of road, when the bus lanes are clear, is easy to build up speed, so vehicles pulling out misjudge the time they have?

On a sweeter note, how fab is it that they are FINALLY resurfacing Borough High Street??! HAve been waiting a looooong time for that!
